Panthers Welcome Hilbert For Final 2018 Regular Season Home Match

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team will welcome Hilbert Wednesday for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match, its final regular-season home action of 2018.

Pitt-Bradford enters the week with a 5-2 mark in AMCC contests and 15-12 overall. The Panthers are tied with La Roche for third place in the conference with a pair of AMCC matches yet to play.

The Panthers are coming off a solid three-set win at Pitt-Greensburg Saturday.

Riley Anderson knocked a game-high 10 kills while Alexandra Segura was next with five.

Payton Orzech had 12 assists and Gesica Ferrar assisted five of the team's kills.

Laura Hildebrand and Anderson had eight digs apiece.

At the net, Segura led the team with four blocks assisted.

Pitt-Bradford continues to own one of the top defenses in all of NCAA Division III, ranking eighth nationally with 1,948 team digs. Hildebrand leads the way with 536 total digs, good for 15th in the country.

At the net, the team's 199 total blocks rank 12th nationally, led by Katie Treat's 83 (57th nationally).

On offense, Anderson and Emily Cleveland rank first and second in the conference in total kills. Anderson's 334 are 36th-most in NCAA Division III while Cleveland's 314 are 62nd most.

Orzech is the top setter in the AMCC as she ranks 58th nationally with 859 total assists and 68th with 9.54 assists per set -- leading the conference in both categories.

Hilbert enters the KOA Arena in search of its first win of the season at 0-18 overall and 0-7 in conference play. The Hawks are led by Ashley Repine, whose 28 solo blocks lead the AMCC and 0.66 blocks per set mark ranks fifth in the conference.

After Wednesday's contest, Pitt-Bradford will wrap up its 2018 regular season at Penn State-Altoona Saturday.

Wednesday's match is set for a 7 p.m. start.
