Buffalo, N.Y. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's swimming team returned to action for the third day of competition at the SUNYAC/AMCC Swimming Championships on Friday. The Panthers had one swimmer qualify for finals and remained in 9th place with a team total of 70 points.
Skyler Bland was the lone Panther to make the finals on Day 3. In the 400-yard individual medley, Bland finished the preliminary round in 11th place with a time of 5:07.27. She cut 2.5 seconds off her time in the finals and moved up one spot to 10th place with a time of 5:04.89
While Bland was the only Pitt-Bradford swimmer to have a spot in the finals, all four other teammates were in action during the first session. Bailey Fedak was the closest to joining Bland, as she finished 17th in the 200-yard freestyle, putting her int eh 1st alternate position. Her time was 2:07.40 and she missed out on the 16th and finals by only .38 seconds.

The Panthers will be back in Buffalo for one more day, as they will wrap up the championship meet with 5 more individual events, and one final relay. Pitt-Bradford swimmers will compete in the 1650-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard breaststroke, and the 400-yard Freestyle relay. Preliminary rounds begin at 10:00 a.m. with the final session starting at 5:30 p.m.
