
WOOSTER, Ohio -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford swim teams wrapped up the second day of action in the three-day Wooster Invitational Friday.
The Pitt-Bradford men's team sits in ninth place of 10 teams with 84.5 points while the women are in 12th place of 12 teams.
Noah Frederick swam in the men's 100-breaststroke evening finals session after finishing 14th with a time of 1:01.64 in the morning's preliminaries, which was over two seconds shorter than his seed time.
In the finals, he finished tied for 12th with a time of 1:01.75.
The Pitt-Bradford men's squad of Caleb Hansen, Frederick, Devyn Condon and Chris Troll competed in the 200-medley relay and finished 15th with a time of 1:44.53.
Kayla Broad swam in the women's 100-butterfly prelim and timed in at 1:09.27.
Troll and Condon both swam in the men's 100-butterfly prelim and saw significant drops in their seed times, Troll finishing in 57.79 and Condon in 57.94.
Hansen narrowly missed qualifying for the men's 200-freestyle finals with a time of 1:53.03 in the preliminaries.
In the women's 100-breaststroke prelim, Alexia Garcia timed in at 1:17.98.
Troll also swam in the 100-breast prelim and timed in at 1:06.56.
In the women's 100-backstroke prelim, Broad came close to qualifying with a time of 1:07.67.
Devin Kerr swam in the men's 100-backstroke preliminary and finished in 2:11.32.
Action in the Wooster Invitational will wrap up Saturday with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m.
