Panthers Look To Extend Winning Streak Against D'Youville Wednesday

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will look for its fourth-straight victory as D'Youville comes to the KOA Arena Wednesday for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference game.

Pitt-Bradford enters the week with a 10-8 overall record and a 7-5 mark in AMCC games. The Panthers sit in a three-way tie for third place with La Roche and Medaille, and Pitt-Bradford is a combined 3-0 against those two teams so far this season.

The Panthers are riding a three-game winning streak and have won six of their last seven games.

Saturday, the Panthers picked up a 68-54 win to complete the season sweep of Franciscan.

Ali Rinfrette led the Panthers with 19 points while Shaelyn Snipes and Etreece Adams scored 14 points apiece. Jennifer Isenberg scored 10 points to round out the Panthers scoring in double-figures. 

Adams also led the game with 13 rebounds for her first-career double-double. Her 14 points also set a new career-high.

Bri Wells tossed eight assists Saturday and now averages 3.5 dimes per game.

Rinfrette continues to lead the AMCC in scoring with 20.7 points per game and she remains the lone player in the conference to average more than 20 points per contest. Rinfrette's scoring average ranks 16th in the nation.

With 38.83 minutes played per game, Rinfrette stays on the court the fourth-most of any player in the country.

Isenberg is coming off a huge week for the Panthers, scoring a career-high 25 points to lead the team to a win over Alfred State Wednesday. Isenberg also pulled down 14 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season, which ranks 57th in the country.

As a dual-threat, Isenberg is the team's second-leading scorer with 13.2 points per game and leads the team with 9.4 boards per game – the third-best rebounding average in the AMCC.

The Panthers as a team own the conference's best scoring offense against AMCC opponents with 72.2 points per game. Conference opponents score 63.3 points per game against Pitt-Bradford, putting the scoring margin at + 8.9 points.

Wednesday's game is set for an 8 p.m. tipoff.

  • The D'Youville Spartans come to the KOA Arena with a 5-14 overall record and a 4-8 mark in AMCC games.
  • The Spartans defeated Penn State-Behrend on Jan. 24 to snap a five-game losing skid. D'Youville has since lost two straight games to Pitt-Greensburg (Jan. 27) and Penn State-Altoona (Jan. 28).
  • Jordan Smith is both the team's leading scorer and rebounder at 10.1 points per game and 6.2 boards per game.
  • Sara Field shoots 45.5 percent from the floor, which ranks fifth in the AMCC.
