
Bradford, PA. -- University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's swimmer Conan Young was named AMCC Swimmer of the Week on Monday after a record-setting afternoon at Roberts Wesleyan.
Young set two pool records at Roberts Wesleyan, dominating three races in the Panthers' first meet of 2025. He won the 1000-yard freestyle by 42 seconds and set the pool record with a time of 10:01.31. He followed that with another record in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:51.80. Finally, he closed with a win in the 100-yard butterfly, winning in 57.42 seconds.
This is the first time Young has earned conference swimmer of the week honors this season, but the third time of his career.
Young and the rest of the Panther swim team will be back in action on February 1st for their final dual meet of the season, before heading to the SUNYAC-AMCC Championship Meet from Feb. 19-22 in Buffalo, N.Y.
