
Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's swimming team is wrapping up preparation for their 2022-23 season, which is set to begin on October 8th.
The Panthers are coming off of a strong season that saw them win 5 dual matches. Returning for Pitt-Bradford are Connor Weiss, Owen Fitzsimmons, and Matt Gullotti, they will lead a very young team that includes 6 freshmen. Weiss swam in the breaststroke and relay events for Pitt-Bradford, while Fitzsimmons swam in mid-distance events. Gullotti provided depth in freestyle events for the Panthers.
"We have a great mix of experience and talent that will lead to a very exciting season," said head coach Chelsea Schwab.
Pitt-Bradford has a promising group of newcomers that have a strong base of scholastic experience. Conan Young will swim in distance and butterfly events for the Panthers and comes to the team as a PIAA All-State and YMCA National Qualifying swimmer. Duncan Young's well-rounded talents will add depth to multiple disciplines, while Sam Wright is a backstroke specialist, which is critical for medley relays. Aiden Minch-Hick and Camden Tetenov will add depth at multiple events.
The Panthers will start their season at Fredonia on Saturday, October 8th. They will return to the Duke Aquatic Center on Thursday, November 3rd at 5:00 p.m. when they host Alfred University.
