Young Named AMCC Men's Swimmer of the Week

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's swimmer Conan Young was recognized by the conference on Monday afternoon as he was named AMCC Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Young made a big splash in his first home race Friday night, setting the Pitt-Bradford program record in the 1000-yard freestyle. Young finished the race in 10:17.45, breaking the record by over 9 seconds. Young also won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.19 seconds and swam the anchor leg in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 24.85 seconds.

Young, and the rest of the Panther swimmers will be back in the pool in the George C. Duke III Aquatic Center twice this week. They will host Alfred University at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3rd, and then Penn State-Behrend at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th.
