Panthers Finish Regular Season with 3rd Place Finish

Buffalo, N.Y. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's swimming team wrapped up their regular season on Saturday, finishing in 3rd place at a tri-meet with SUNY Geneseo and Buffalo State.

The Panthers accumulated 189 points in the event. SUNY Geneseo emerged victorious with 681 points and Buffalo State totaled 308.

The Panthers swimmers produced some strong times, as the event contained different distances than normal dual meets, better preparing the Panthers for the upcoming AMCC/Empire 8 Championship meet.

CJ Faris swam three individual events, collecting 41 points on the day. He also swam the opening leg of the medley relay. Owen Fitzsimmons and Hunter Deible picked up 27 and 25 points respectively on individual events, while also swimming in both relays to add 64 points to their total. Aiden Wright added 28 points and swam in the freestyle relay.

The Panthers will have two weeks to prepare for the Conference Championship meet. It will be held over three days, beginning February 16th. It will be held at the Webster Aquatic Center in Webster, N.Y.
