Panthers Pick Up Win over JCC

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's swimming team successfully completed the 200-yard freestyle relay to secure a 70-62 victory over Jamestown Community College on Saturday.

The Panthers needed a successful relay to pick up the final points to secure the victory. Matt Copfer, Matt Gullotti, Evan Fragela, and Aiden Wright completed the race in 2:21.37. 

Wright had the highest score for the Panthers as he helped amass 24 points for the Panthers. Along with picking up 11 points as the anchor leg of the freestyle relay, he won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:55.16 and took second in the 200 freestyle as he finished just .18 seconds behind the winner.

CJ Faris was able to pick up 13 points for the Panthers as he was the lead leg in the 200-yard medley relay which took 2nd and completed the 200-yard individual medley to pick up 9 points as he swam the event unopposed.

Hunter Deible was the final Panther to win an event as he won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:05.91. 

The Panthers have now completed the fall portion of their season. They will have nearly a month off for finals and the holidays before returning to action in the new year. Their next meet will be on Saturday, January 8th, when they travel to Buffalo for a tri-meet with Buffalo State and Wells.
