The Pitt-Bradford men's and women's swimming teams announced their 2016-17 schedules Monday, with both squads set to open the season Oct. 15, hosting the 11th annual Panther Relays.

Pitt-Bradford will close out the opening month of the season with road trips to AMCC opponents Cabrini and Penn State Altoona. The Panthers travel to Buffalo State and Alfred in early November before returning home to host Washington & Jefferson Nov. 19. The fall semester schedule concludes with the teams competing at the Fredonia State Blue Devil Invitational in December.

The Panthers kick off 2017 with a tri-meet against Franciscan and Bethany and visit Wells the following week. Alfred State will visit the Paul C. Duke III Aquatic Center Jan. 21, and Pitt-Bradford closes out the regular season at Penn State Behrend during the final weekend in January.

Pitt-Bradford will compete in the AMCC Championships starting Feb. 8 in Erie, Pa.

New head coach Doug Alban, who spent the previous five seasons as an assistant at the University of the South (Tenn.), will lead the Panthers in 2016-17. The men finished second at the AMCC Championships a year ago and the women were third, their best finish since 2009-10.
