Men's Swimming Drops Cabrini in AMCC Opener

BRADFORD, Pa. - The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's swimming team picked up a 144-104 victory over Cabrini in their AMCC opener on Saturday afternoon. 

"The team is continuing to swim at a very high level for the beginning of the season," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Ed Bahan. "We had many athletes at, or exceeding, their personal best times and that is very exciting."

Lucas Cerchiaro led the Panthers with a victory and personal best time of 4:38.71 in the 400 IM. He added second place finishes in the 200 fly and 200 free.

The Panthers won the 400 medley relay with Corey Koss, Jeff Cattoni, Alex Renwick, and Zack France posting a time 3:37.46.

Carey Behm captured a victory in the 1000 free with a time of 10:41.37, which was nearly one minute faster than the second place finisher. He then added a win in the 500 free with a time of 5:11.56.

Koss added a win with a time of 53.29 in the 100 backstrokes.

Cattoni won the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.51 while Renwick captured a victory in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:06.20.

France, Behm, Renwick, and Koss sealed the victory with a first place finish in the 400 free relay, posting a time of 3:27.44.

The Panthers return to action Saturday, Oct. 31, to host Penn State Altoona at 1 p.m.
