BRADFORD, Pa. – Despite a late-game offensive push from The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team, the Panthers fell to Wooster, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Kessel Athletics Complex.

"We had our chances in the second half, but just couldn't get one in," Head Coach Nate Whitehurst said. "I liked how well we were combining down the line and creating chances out wide. But we just could not get one through."

Wooster scored its lone goal of the first half in the opening minutes of the game on its first shot attempt.

The Panther defense held up during the first period, defending five corner kick chances.

Derrick Brock saw 12 shots in the first half and made four saves for Pitt-Bradford.

While the Panthers recorded two shots on goal in the second half, they had consistent pressure in the upper third for much of the half. 

However, the Panthers could not find the back of the net, despite setting themselves up for solid chances in their corner kick attempts.

The Pitt-Bradford defense held Wooster to just three shots on goal in the second half, but Wooster made the most of their final shot of the game, doubling its lead in the final minute of the game off a corner kick.

Steven McFetridge, Jean Paul Diaz and Ethan Acaster recorded shots for the Panthers.

Brock finished with six saves.

The Panthers will stay home as their next action will take place on Wednesday against Alfred State at 3 p.m.
