Panthers Travel to Thiel for Third Straight Road Contest Tuesday

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team will wrap up its season-opening road trip as it heads to Thiel on Tuesday.

The Panthers are coming off a pair of weekend losses, first falling at Lancaster Bible on Friday and then at Penn State-Harrisburg on Saturday.

Ugwunna Amadi scored the lone Panther goal of the weekend against Lancaster Bible.

Off a throw-in near midfield, Amadi passed the ball to Jean Paul Diaz, who then led Amadi with a one-touch ball downfield. The give-and-go prevailed, as Amadi went on the break and beat his defender to the ball and beat the keeper to the right side, giving the Panthers their first goal of the season.

Derrick Brock played all 180 minutes as the Panthers keeper over the weekend, serving as his first collegiate action. The sophomore made 16 total saves, the second-most of any keeper in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference this opening weekend.

The road contest at Thiel will mark the end of the Panthers' three-game road trip. On Friday, Pitt-Bradford will begin a stretch of five straight home games as Allegheny comes to town.
