Panthers Return Home To Host Medaille Wednesday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team is set to return home Wednesday for its Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opener against Medaille.

Pitt-Bradford (1-2) is fresh off its first win of the season, an 82-63 win against Clarks Summit in the Buffalo Wild Wings Classic at Stevenson College on Nov. 17.

Reggie Rogers led the way with 22 points while grabbing six boards.

Jeffrey Fry added 15 points while Desmond Brogsdale dropped 14 points. 

The day prior, Pitt-Bradford suffered a loss to FDU-Florham in the opening round of the tournament.

For his performance during the two-day event, Rogers was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Through the team's first three games of the season, Rogers leads the Panthers with 15.7 points per game. After missing the first game of the season, Fry returned to the Panthers' lineup and averaged 12 points per game in the Buffalo Wild Wings Classic, connecting on six of 14 attempts from three-point land.

As a team, Pitt-Bradford has the second-most steals per game in the AMCC with 12. Brogsdale leads the team with eight steals while Rogers is second with seven. George Alson and Oumar Sanogo have collected five steals apiece.

Medaille enters the KOA Arena still in search of its first victory of the season at 0-4. Kirk Hawkins is the fifth-leading scorer in the AMCC with 15.8 points per game. Will Saunders is second on the team with 12 points per game and he also leads the team with 4.5 assists per game.

Wednesday's AMCC contest is set for an 8 p.m. tip. It will be the second game of a double-header with the women's game, which is set to tip at 6 p.m.
