Pitt-Bradford Stays Home To Host Pitt-Greensburg Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will play its second-straight home game as Pitt-Greensburg comes to the KOA Arena for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a tough defeat Wednesday against Medaille.

Sahlil Harris put together his best game as of late, scoring a team-leading 14 points while blocking four shots and grabbing a pair of steals in 21 minutes on the floor.

Desmond Brogsdale and Dylan Niedermeyer had 12 points apiece, and Colby Mills knocked down three three-pointers while scoring 11 points.

Brogsdale and Niedermeyer each pulled down nine boards to lead the Panthers.

In total, the Panthers shot 43.5 percent from the floor.

The two teams each had 14 turnovers.

Brogsdale led the game with six assists. The junior remains the Panthers' leading scorer at 14.2 points per game 

Dylan Niedermeyer leads the Panthers with 7.0 rebounds per game and Reggie Rogers is the top distributor with 45 assists. 

Saturday's game was originally set to begin at 2 p.m. but has been pushed back one hour due to severe weather and will now begin at 3 p.m. as the first game of a doubleheader with the women's game coming after. (Updated 4:15 p.m., 1/12/18) 

About Pitt-Greensburg:

  • The Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats come into the KOA Arena with a 4-9 overall record and a 2-6 mark in AMCC games.
  • The Bobcats picked up their AMCC wins consecutively, over Mount Aloysius (Dec. 6) and D'Youville (Dec. 9). But UPG has since dropped three-straight conference contests.
  • Cam Seigfreid is the team's top scorer at 12.5 points per game. Jay Grubb scores 11.4 points per game and shoots 56.6 percent from the floor, the fifth-best percentage in the conference.
  • Cody Spaid is the fifth-best rebounder in the AMCC with 7.1 boards per game.
