KEUKA, N.Y. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team fell at Keuka, 96-80, in a non-conference matchup Tuesday evening.

Colby Mills led the way for the Panthers, knocking down seven three-pointers and scoring 27 points. Mills' seven three-pointers surpass the team's season high of six set by Jeffrey Fry in the Panthers' season opener last Friday, and his 27 points top Sahlil Harris' 25 scored in Saturday's win.

"We didn't come out with the energy or effort it takes to win in collegiate athletics," Head Coach Sean Brown Sr. said. "Our guys seemed pretty flat, and I don't feel like I did a good enough job getting our guys up to play tonight. Colby was a bright spot for us tonight, providing us with big energy and great effort off the bench. Overall, this game was disappointing for all of us, and I have to do a better job coaching. We will bounce back and be ready to go next Wednesday."

Desmond Brogsdale (16) and Dylan Niedermeyer (13) also scored in double-figures. 

Keuka jumped out to an early 10-2 lead but a pair of buckets from Mills brought the score to 11-7 at the 15:05 mark.

A three-ball from Mills at the 11:06 mark cut the Keuka lead to two points, 17-15, but a 7-0 Keuka run put the Wolves ahead 24-15 with 8:46 left in the first half.

Down 17 with five minutes left in the half, Brogsdale, Mills and Niedermeyer scored buckets to help the Panthers keep pace with the Wolves, and Keuka took a 46-29 advantage into the break.

Mills stayed hot into the second half, helping the Panthers trim the deficit by knocking down a trio of three-pointers in the first three minutes of the half to bring the Panthers within eight points, 52-44.

With the Panthers down 10 points with eight minutes left in the half, Sahlil Harris connected from long range to cut the Keuka lead to seven points at 70-63, but back-to-back three's from the Wolves put them ahead 76-3 with 7:46 left.

Keuka extended its run to 15-2 until the 5:34 mark and took an 85-65 lead before a pair of free throws from Brogsdale.

Buckets from Niedermeyer, Jeffrey Fry, Ugwunna Amadi and Zach Dahlstrand in the final 4:32 got the Panthers to 80 total points but Keuka held a double-digit lead the rest of the way and took the victory, 96-80.

Pitt-Bradford shot 38.2 percent from the field, connecting on 26 of 38 shot attempts. The Panthers also converted on 17 of 23 free-throw attempts, with Brogsdale leading the way with a 6-7 performance.

Niedermeyer led the Panthers with eight rebounds while Reginald Rogers dished out six assists.

After serving a three-game suspension for violating team rules, top returning scorer Christian Kelly-Perkins will return for the Panthers' next game, and Brown Sr. foresees him adding much-needed offensive firepower.

Pitt-Bradford will be in action next on Wednesday, Nov. 29, for its home opener as Hilbert comes to the KOA Arena.
