Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team had one of their pitchers recognized by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference on Monday as Shawn Mannering was named AMCC Pitcher of the Week.
Mannering had a dominant week for the Panthers, picking up two complete game victories. He compiled a 1.93 ERA with 10 strikeouts. In the victory over Penn State-Behrend, Mannering scattered six hits while allowing six hits with five strikeouts. He followed that up with another win at Pitt-Greensburg, allowing 2 earned runs with 5 more strikeouts.
This was the first time Mannering has won the conference Pitcher of the Week honor. He previously was named Rookie of the Week in 2022. He is the second Panther baseball player to earn AMCC recognition as catcher Evan Fragela was named AMCC Player of the Week on March 4.
