Fragela Named AMCC Baseball Player of the Week

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team had a team member recognized as AMCC Player of the Week on Monday after splitting a four-game set at Bethany this weekend.

Junior Catcher/Designated Hitter Evan Fragela picked up the honor after he hit .500 over the weekend as the Panthers split four games with Bethany. He totaled eight hits, five runs, four RBI, and a stolen base over the four games. In the opening win, he was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs batted in, and drove in the eventual game-winning runs on a two-out, two-run single.

This is the first time Fragela has won the award, and he is the first Panther position player to win the weekly honor since infielder Tyler Hoops at the beginning of the 2020 season. Fragela currently leads the AMCC in hits, with 12, and is top ten in batting average at .429. The Panthers are 3-5 this season and will head to Fort Myers Florida for their annual Spring Break trip.
