Panthers Head To New Castle For DII-DIII Wildcat Invitational

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team will compete in the three-day DII-DIII Wildcat Invitational this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Along with the Panthers competing in the event in New Castle, Del., will be Adelphi, Medaille, Belmont Abbey, Mount Aloysius, Chestnut Hill, New Jersey City, Felician, Penn State-Altoona, Kutztown, LIU Post and Wilmington.

Friday's schedule will feature five matches of five-game baker while Saturday's schedule will be five traditional matches. Action on Friday and Saturday will determine seeding for Sunday.

Sunday's championship and placement matches will be three best of seven baker matches format.

So far this season, Kelsey Hammons leads the Panthers with the top baker average of 16.89 pins.

Haley Ward holds both the top team average (172 pins) while also scoring the highest in a single game (196, Medaille, Oct. 26).

As a team, the Panthers average 160.18 pins in baker and 742.6 total pinfall in team format.

Friday's competition action will commence at 11 a.m., while Saturday will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday's finals action will start at 9:45 a.m. with an awards ceremony at 2:15 p.m.
