Pitt-Bradford Women's Bowling Completes First Day At Wildcat DII-DIII Invitational

NEW CASTLE, Del. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team completed the first day of the Wildcat DII-DIII Invitational, falling short in all five matches.

"Brianna was steady and consistent with only 10 missed spares out of 50 frames," Head Coach Sarah Foley said. "She struggled to strike in the beginning, but picked up her spares. Towards the end of the day, she was able to carry and struck when we needed her to.  Abbey also stepped up when we needed her, and she's improved so much this season. "

Kelsey Hammons led the Panthers with 17.2 pins per frame.

Abbey Kalin averaged 14.1 pins per frame, while Haley Ward bowled a 13.9 pins per frame average, close behind.

Jenna Lofaro averaged 13.4 pins per frame, and Megan Stinnard rounded out the Pitt-Bradford scoring with 10.74 pins per frame.

Pitt-Bradford competed against Chestnut Hill, Mount Aloysius, Belmont Abbey, Kutztown and LIU Post.

Saturday's action will begin at 9:30 a.m. with five traditional matches.
