BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team is set to host Penn State-Behrend for a pivotal Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match Tuesday at the KOA Arena.

Pitt-Bradford enters the week with a 4-1 record in conference play, a half-game behind Penn State-Behrend (5-1). The Panthers hold third place while the Lions are in second, both teams trailing the unbeaten Mount Aloysius (6-0).

Pitt-Bradford has won three-straight AMCC matches -- all in straight sets -- picking up wins against Franciscan (Sept. 29), at D'Youville (Oct. 2) and at Medaille (Oct. 10).

Penn State-Behrend is coming off a tough defeat at La Roche Saturday, its lone conference setback. The Lions picked up wins the first two sets, but La Roche battled all the way back and won the match in five sets.

A season ago, the two teams split their matchups, with the Panthers coming out on top on Sept. 27 at Behrend in straight sets, but the Lions defeating Pitt-Bradford in straight sets in the AMCC semifinals.

So far in conference play, the Panthers have the second-best kills-per-set average against AMCC opponents at 12.69. 

Riley Anderson leads the conference with 4.29 kills per set in AMCC action. She's knocked 60 kills in conference play on 170 attempts in just 14 sets played.

In five matches and 16 sets in conference play, Payton Orzech leads all setters in the conference with 168 total assists and 10.50 assists per set.

Pitt-Bradford is also one of the best blocking team in the conference with 1.81 blocks per set against AMCC opponents. Also crediting the Panthers' defense is their 18.88 digs per set in conference play, the second-best average in the AMCC. Laura Hildebrand's 5.88 digs per set in conference play is the second-best average in the AMCC.

Behrend owns the top hitting percentage in conference play at .281, as they have made the fewest hitting errors in conference play with 67.

Their 34 total blocks in conference play are also the most in the AMCC.

After Tuesday, the Panthers will close out its regular season with three conference matches at Pitt-Greensburg Saturday, hosting Hilbert next Wednesday and closing out at Penn State-Altoona next Saturday.

Penn State-Behrend will close out its conference schedule traveling to AMCC leader Mount Aloysius Saturday before wrapping up the regular season at Pitt-Greensburg next Saturday.

Tuesday's match is set for a 7 p.m. start.
