Volleyball Falls at Penn State Behrend

ERIE, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford volleyball team fell, 3-1, in a hard fought match at Penn State Behrend on Wednesday night.

The Lions won the first set 25-13 to take an early lead in the best of five set series. The Panthers answered right back with a 25-18 victory in the second, but fell 25-15 in the third set, and 25-19 in the fourth set.

"I think we showed some signs of just how good we can be when we put it all together," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Tom Roof. "We just need to continue working on our consistency in order to get to where we want to be."

Kirsten Platz led the Panthers with 13 kills and two block assists, while Christina Rauh finished with 35 assists and 14 digs. Alexis Dhayer added six kills and a team-high 15 digs. Mandy Finch chipped in with eight kills and 10 digs.

Pitt-Bradford returns to action Saturday at 1 p.m. at Alfred University.
