Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team had a resurgent season in 2024, winning 6 games, the most in a season since 2017. The Panthers also had one player recognized by the conference on Tuesday, as Mya King was named a Third Team All-AMCC performer.
"I am extremely proud of Mya's freshman campaign," said head women's soccer coach Lorenzo Rodriguez. "She is built differently than any freshman I have coached and I was in awe of how she played above the normal standard of a newcomer."
This season King led the Panthers with 13 goals and 8 assists. She was 2nd in the conference in both categories. She took 68 shots and put 34 of them on target. In AMCC play, King scored 2 goals. She was AMCC Offensive Player of the Week twice.
"Mya's game kept every opponent off guard and they had to adjust by sending multiple players to try and stop her," added Rodriguez. "When she first stepped on campus you could tell she was ready to make a major impact on this program."
King is the first Pitt-Bradford women's soccer player to be selected to an all-conference team since Taylor Sutryk made the third team in 2019 as an attacker.
