2017 Women's Soccer All-Conference Team & Award Winners
BRADFORD, Pa. – Three members of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team have been earned All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference honors, officials announced Tuesday.
Senior goalkeeper Sarah Dailey was named to the All-AMCC Second Team while senior midfielder Kaitlyn Williams and junior midfielder Meghan Stuck were named to the All-AMCC Third Team.
For Dailey, this is her fourth-straight season earning All-Conference honors, as she was named to the Third Team in 2014 and collected First Team honors the past two seasons.
"Sarah had a great senior season," Head Coach Melissa Lincoln said. "She kept us in so many games by making major saves. She led the team on and off the field, and she was someone the other players could turn to, look up to and admire. She had some huge games and was recognized three weeks in a row as AMCC Defensive Player of the Week, really working to earn it each time."
The Butler, Pa., native started all 18 games for the Panthers and registered 1676:01 minutes on the pitch this season. Her 109 saves and 1.29 goals-against average were both fifth best in the conference. She was credited with six shutouts, the third-most of any keeper in the AMCC.
For her strong play, she earned AMCC's Defensive Player of the Week three-consecutive weeks (Sept. 11, 18 and 25).
Kaitlyn Williams was the top offensive player for the Panthers, leading with seven goals and four assists for 18 points.
"If I could choose one play to describe Kait, it would be her game-tying goal at Franciscan with less than six seconds left," Lincoln said. "All season she never slowed down, never gave up, and always gave all she had. She scored some essential goals for us this season and was always willing to fill in wherever she was needed. Kait had a great senior season."
The Stewartstown, Pa., native registered a pair of two-goal games, the first as part of a 3-1 win at Pitt-Greensburg (Sept. 29) and the second at Franciscan (Oct. 7), goal number two on the day coming as the clock expired in regulation to send it to overtime.
Her first goal of the season served as the game-winner against Saint Vincent (Sept 19) in a 1-0 win.
From Sept. 19-29, Williams scored in four-straight games and found the back of the net five times during that stretch.
Meghan Stuck finished second on the team with five goals, and her 10 points were also the second most on the Panthers.
"Meghan controlled the center of the field for us this season," Lincoln said. "She was often times the player others looked to for direction and she lead the team well, coming up with multiple goals as a midfielder. I'm looking forward to how she will continue to step up and continue to lead the team next season as a senior."
A pair of the Bolivar, N.Y., native's goals served as game-winners, the first coming on her first goal of the season in a 4-0 win at Keuka (Sept. 10) and the second in a 3-1 win over Penn State-Altoona in the team's AMCC opener (Sept. 23).
Appearing in 17 games for the Panthers this season, Stuck tied for third on the team with 31 shots and put 11 on goal.
Pitt-Bradford women's soccer has had at least three players named to All-AMCC teams each season since 2010.
