
Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford wrestling team wrapped up their home slate on Thursday night, defeating Thiel 32-21 in their last home dual of the season.
Pitt-Bradford got off to a strong start, as Cael Dailey dominated his opponent to the tune of a 19-1 technical fall victory, putting the Panthers ahead 5-0. Thiel quickly tied the score in the next bout, matching Dailey's tech fall with one of their own at 133.
The Panthers then took control of the match, winning the next three bouts by fall. Dylan Slovick was first up, and made quick work of his opponent, needing only 16 seconds to win by pin. Nikolas Fegert was next at 149 and won his match at 4:24. Raymond Worsen III was next and pinned his opponent at 2:35 of the first period to win at 157, giving Pitt-Bradford a commanding 23-5 lead.
Following a major decision loss at 165, The Panthers secured victory when D.J. Slovick won by medical forfeit at 174. The Panthers lost the next two bouts by fall, allowing the Tomcats to close the margin by 12 team points. With the win secured, Cameron Carter-Green won the last match at 285, outlasting his opponent to earn an 8-4 decision victory.
In addition to the dual action, Joe Magnano won an exhibition matchup with a pin at 1:17.
The Panthers dual record moves to 6-9, including a 3-1 mark at home. They will be back in action next Wednesday, as they travel to St. John Fisher for their final dual match of the season. The action begins at 6:30 at Fisher's Ralph C Wilson Athletic Center in Rochester.
