Erie, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's wrestling team lost its final dual match of the season on Wednesday night, falling to Penn State-Behrend 32-23.
The Panthers picked up 4 victories in the match, with two coming by forfeit, and the others via the pin. Colton Davis picked up 6 points with an uncontested victory at 141, and Mitch Dowd picked up the forfeit win at 285.
Trenton Wills picked up a big victory for the Panthers at 149. After falling behind, Wills scored 9 straight points to take a lead in his match and then pinned his opponent at 5:58 to earn full points for his team.
Derek Ridgeway also picked up 6 points for Pitt-Bradford at 184. He pinned his opponent in 1:38 after taking a quick 14 point lead.
The match was the last of the regular season for the Panthers. They will take the rest of the month to recover and prepare for the post-season. Their next action will be at the NCAA Regional Tournament. They will be held at Ithaca College on February 29th and March 1st.
