Vic Goeller was named Pitt-Bradford's head women's lacrosse coach in 2024. He is new program's inaugural coach and will begin varsity competition in 2025-26.
Goeller joins the Panthers from Wells College, where he posted a 21-20 record over three seasons with the Express. In three seasons at Wells, Goeller turned around the lacrosse program after the COVID-19 pandemic, leading the Express to a 16-1 season with an AMCC championship in 2024. Goeller has guided 10 student-athletes to All-Conference Selections, and this season had two players be named Offensive Player and Newcomer of the Year. He was also named 2024 AMCC Co-Coach of the Year.
During the 2024 season, Goeller’s team led the nation in 5 different categories and was ranked in the top 10 in four others. They led in draw control percentage (72.1%), save percentage (56.8%), scoring defense (4.47 goals per game), scoring margin (+12.47 goals per game), and shots per game (41.35).
“I am very excited about the opportunity to start the program here at Pitt-Bradford,” said Goeller. “I look forward to building a team that will be an asset to the university, as well as the Bradford community.”
With the new Pitt-Bradford program, Coach Goeller will look to create a team environment that is founded on trust, commitment, accountability, and heart.
Goeller has extensive coaching experience in the lacrosse community, coaching the game at youth, club, and collegiate levels for over 25 years. Prior to his tenure at Wells, he also spent time as an assistant at McDaniel College, St. John’s Catholic Prep, North Carroll High School, and St. Paul VI Catholic High School.
