Panther Bowling Primed for 2024-25 Campaign

Bradford, PA. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women’s bowling team is prepared for the start of their 2024-25 campaign, looking to improve upon their 6th place finish last season.

Last season, the Panthers finished 28-49 overall, with an AMCC record of 9-11. In the final standings they were tied with Pitt-Greensburg for 6th, and secured the final playoff spot through a tiebreaker.

Pitt-Bradford was led by Brookelyn Garvey, who was named 2nd Team All-AMCC. She averaged 17.73 pins per frame in the traditional format and 17.05 in baker. She finished top 10 in traditional average, and fill percentage.

Garvey will return for her senior season to lead the team. Also returning is Sophomore Erin Wales, who averaged 15.75 pins per frame in her debut campaign. Olivia Shultz and Alexis Whitfield will provide experience, while the Panthers will look to newcomers Mackenzie Gill and Jaylee Koppenhaver for a new spark.

The Panthers begin their season on Saturday, October 5th at the Mercyhurst Invitational. Their firs home match will be against Penn State-Behrend on December 7th. The two AMCC Round Robins are set for November 15th and February 7th.
