
GREENVILLE, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team went picked up a pair of wins in the second AMCC Round Robin of the season Saturday at Thiel.
Pitt-Bradford earned wins over Thiel (763-601) and New Jersey City (847-741) but fell to Medaille (844-757) and Mount Aloysius (825-814) in the one-game team format.
The Panthers' 2-2 record was good for a third-place finish out of the four teams competing in the day's event.
Kelsey Hammons was the team's top performer, averaging 179.2 pins.
Haley Ward was close behind with 176 average pins per game.
Bryce Holm was third on the team with a 164 average while Jenna Lofaro was next at 155.2 pins.
Abbey Kalin rounded out the Panther performers with a 127.2 average.
Hammons held the Panthers' single-game high with 210 pins in game five to help the Panthers to a win over New Jersey City.
Hammons also rolled a 202 against the 'bye' position as the only other Panther score over 200 pins in a single game.
Ward's high came in game three against Mount Aloysius with 196 pins.
Due to Penn State-Altoona, Penn State-Behrend and Hilbert being unable to attend the competition, the Panthers earned victories in their spots.
Pitt-Bradford's AMCC record is now 10-4 and the Panthers will enter the AMCC Championships as the conference's third-ranked team.
