BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will return home for back-to-back games at the KOA Arena starting Wednesday hosting D'Youville for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest.
Pitt-Bradford is looking for a bounce-back win after three-straight AMCC setbacks, most recently at first-place La Roche Saturday. The Panthers are 4-4 in AMCC action through the first half of the conference schedule, sitting in fifth place.
Four Panthers scored in double-figures with Latifah Cain leading the way scoring 14 points.
Shaelyn Snipes dropped 13 points and Jennifer Isenberg scored 12.
Etreece Adams earned a double-double of 10 points and 11 boards.
Isenberg remains one of the top rebounders in the conference, pulling in 9.0 boards per game for fourth-best in the AMCC.
In conference play, Shirleah Ragin is fifth in the AMCC scoring 16.6 points per game. Snipes ranks ninth dropping 15.5 points per game against conference opponents.
Pitt-Bradford is one of the best teams in the country at taking care of the ball, ranking 25th in fewest turnovers in NCAA Division III at 198.
D'Youville comes to the KOA Arena with a 6-8 overall record and 3-4 mark in conference play, holding seventh place in the AMCC. Most recently, the Spartans fell to Medaille Monday, the Mavericks gaining the lead in the last minute and holding off the Spartans on their final possession.
The Spartans own one of the top players in the conference in freshman Danielle Hore, who ranks fourth in the AMCC scoring 16.2 points per game and third in the conference pulling in 9.5 boards per contest.
Wednesday's game is set for a 6 p.m. tip. It will serve as the first game of a doubleheader with the men's matchup coming after.
All students in attendance will be eligible for a chance to win a free meal plan for Fall 2019 if they can make a half-court shot, courtesy of Metz. One student will be selected for the 6 p.m. women's game and one student will be selected for the 8 p.m. men's game. Each selected student will have the option to take the shot for a free meal plan or forego the shot and accept a $20 Metz gift card.
