Complete List Of 2017-18 All-AMCC Awards
BRADFORD, Pa. – Head women's basketball coaches of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference voted Ali Rinfrette and Jennifer Isenberg to All-AMCC Teams, conference officials announced Tuesday.
Rinfrette, an All-AMCC First Team selection, averaged a conference-best 22.5 points per game – the only player in the AMCC to average more than 20 points per contest. Her scoring average also ranks fourth in all of NCAA Division III.
"I'm very proud of both Jen and Ali for their All-Conference selections," Head Coach Sharay Hall said. "Ali leading the conference in scoring and finishing top-five in a host of other areas shows she has been the most consistent player this year. Her work ethic has helped her with continued success, being the only four-year consistent All-Conference player in this senior class. I am extremely proud of her accomplishments this season and she has truly left her mark on this conference."
Her 1,028 minutes played this season lead the nation, and she finished second in the conference with 150 free-throws made, 61 three-pointers made and a 40.9 three-point shot percentage. The Bradford native also dished 119 assists and averaged 7.5 rebounds per game while corralling 81 steals.
The senior has now earned All-Conference honors in each of her four seasons as a Pitt-Bradford student-athlete and has been named to the AMCC's First Team each of the last three seasons. She was named the AMCC Player of the Year last season – the fourth in school history.
She leaves Pitt-Bradford as the women's basketball program's All-Time leading scorer with 2,099 career points – the lone 2,000-point scorer. She assisted 374 buckets during her career while pulling in 548 rebounds and 246 steals in 3,777 total minutes on the floor.
Isenberg, an All-AMCC Second Team honoree, averaged a double-double as the Panthers' second-leading scorer at 14.7 points per game and the third-best rebounder in the conference at 10.3 boards per game.
"Jen developed into something special this year," Hall said of her forward. "Barely playing due to injury in her years at Pitt-Bradford so far, her resilient and determined attitude has pushed her to success this season. I am proud of her for scratching the surface and realizing how great of a player she is and will be in the future. Her future is extremely bright and the best has yet to come."
The junior logged a double-double in 11 of the team's 26 games while playing 29.2 minutes per game.
The Sheffield, Pa., native scored in double-figures in 20 games this season and scored over 20 points in eight games. In Saturday's semifinal matchup with Mount Aloysius, she dropped a career-best 27 points.
Isenberg finished third in the conference with 33 blocked shots and 13th with 45 steals.
The AMCC's announcement of All-AMCC awards puts a cap on a successful 2017-18 campaign for the Panthers in which they went 15-11 overall and 11-7 in conference games to earn the No. 3 seed in the AMCC Championship Tournament. The tandem of Rinfrette and Isenberg led the Panthers to the AMCC semifinals.
