BRADFORD, Pa. -- Senior guard Ali Rinfrette of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance during the period of Jan. 29-Feb. 4, conference officials announced Monday.

"Ali has been extremely consistent this week with her effort and energy," Head Coach Sharay Hall said. "Therefore, we are proud of her accomplishment this week."

This is the second time this season Rinfrette has been honored as the AMCC's Women's Basketball Player of the Week (Dec. 11).

The Bradford native put together a huge week, averaging a double-double of 27 points and 12.5 rebounds in the team's two games.

On Wednesday, she worked a double-double of 25 points and 11 boards to lead Pitt-Bradford to an 80-69 win over D'Youville -- their fourth-straight win at the time.

Her performance Wednesday caught the attention around the nation as she has been named a finalist for the D3 Women's Basketball HERO of the Week.

Her 29 points Saturday at Mount Aloysius led all scorers and she put together her second-straight double-double as she pulled down 14 rebounds.

She also didn't take a single minute off all week, playing all 80 total minutes in the team's two games.

On the week, she shot 44.7 from the field and went 6-15 on three-point field goals. She also dished seven assists, grabbed six steals and blocked three shots.

As the program's all-time leading scorer, Rinfrette currently holds 1,940 career points – 60 away from reaching the 2,000-point plateau.

Pitt-Bradford will be in action next Wednesday as the Panthers travel to Medaille. The Panthers and Medaille both hold an AMCC record of 8-6 and sit in a three-way tie with La Roche for third place in the conference.
