BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will be back in action for its second-straight home Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup as La Roche comes to the KOA Arena Saturday afternoon.
Pitt-Bradford is coming off a tough 68-64 setback against Hilbert in its AMCC opener Wednesday evening. The Panthers held the lead for much of the first half and went into the locker room with the advantage, however a strong second half from Hilbert sent the Hawks past the Panthers.
Entering Saturday's game, Ali Rinfrette holds 1,592 career points, just 18 points shy of the program record of 1,610 held by Diane Eggleton.
Rinfrette scored 18 points in Wednesday's game against Hilbert, connecting on seven of 16 field goal attempts, including a pair from long range.
The Bradford native leads the Panthers and is second in the AMCC in scoring with 19.5 points per game. She has also dished out 1.7 assists per game and is coming off a contest in which she dished out five.
Shirleah Ragin (16.0 points per game), Shaelyn Snipes (10.5 points per game) and Aria Alston-Smith (10.0 points per game) are all key contributors to the Panther offense.
Snipes has connected on seven of her 14 three-point attempts this season for 50 percent from deep, the second-best percentage in the conference.
Jennifer Isenberg is the top rebounder for the Panthers, pulling down 7.0 boards per game. Anna Colebert and Rinfrette are both tied with 5.0 rebounds per game.
Saturday's game will be the second of a doubleheader with the men's team. The women's game is set to begin at 4 p.m.
