Bradford, PA — The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford athletics department will be hosting the AMCC Softball Championship Tournament this weekend at the Kessel Athletic Complex.
Due to inclement weather in the region last week, the Conference agreed to move the six-team double-elimination tournament to Bradford due to field conditions, hotel availability and lights.
"This is a great opportunity for our department, university and community to welcome in visiting teams and showcase our facilities and Bradford itself," said Athletic Director Bret Butler.
The teams will begin play at 10:00 a.m. Friday with 4 games on day one, followed by 5 on day two. The championship will be decided on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The teams participating in the tournament are Penn State-Altoona, Mount Aloysius, Pitt-Greensburg, Penn State-Behrend, Pitt-Bradford, and Hilbert.
Pitt-Bradford is the #5 seed and will play their first game at 12:00 p.m. Friday against #4 Penn State-Behrend.
Live video stream and statistic updates for all games will be available on the Pitt-Bradford athletics website.
