Erie, PA. -- After seeing their season opener postponed earlier in the week, The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's tennis team began their 2021-22 campaign with a trip to Erie to take on AMCC foe Penn State-Behrend.
The Panthers played two matches against the Lions, with the first counting towards their AMCC record, and the second as a non-conference match-up. The inexperienced Panthers lost both games 9-0.
Pitt-Bradford contested two of the three doubles matches. Christian Dixon and Felix Mornonge were able to win one game in their collegiate debut but ultimately lost the match 8-1. Additionally, the Panthers contested four singles matches, dropping them all.
In the second match, Pitt-Bradford once again lost 9-0, but saw some improvement in their scores. Moronge played at #1 singles, and lost 6-2, 6-1. Dixon moved to #2 and also had a 6-2, 6-1 loss. Finally, Jermal Coleman was able to pick up his first collegiate point in a 6-1, 6-0 loss.
The Panthers will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 17th, when they face Pitt-Greensburg.
