
GENEVA, N.Y. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's tennis team competed in its first road match of the 2019-20 season Saturday, falling at Geneva 9-0.
In doubles action, the tandem on Jacob Volz and Jeffrey Kocjancic put up a tough battle in the No. 1 spot but fell, 8-4.
Then in singles, Volz once again competed with his counterpart but narrowly fell in the top spot, 7-5, 6-2.
The No. 2 singles spot saw a competitive match as well as Kocjancic took the first set, 7-6, then surrendered set two, 6-2. Set three went to his counterpart, though, 10-6.
Drew Patla, Noah Bartholomew, Jonathan Azcona, Brenan Italia and Jacob Schlegel also competed for the Panthers.
Up next, Pitt-Bradford will begin AMCC action and host Franciscan Friday.
