Penn State-Behrend Takes Midweek AMCC Match Against Panthers

ERIE, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team traveled to Penn State-Behrend for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match Tuesday.

The Lions remained unbeaten in AMCC action at 3-0-1 as they picked up an 8-0 win over the Panthers (2-4 AMCC, 3-11 overall).

"We played against a very good Behrend team today," Head Coach Nathan Whitehurst said. "We did not play our best and tonight, we needed to be at our best."

Penn State-Behrend used four goals in each half to complete the balanced attack.

Behrend scored its first goal 10 minutes into the start of the contest and wrapped up the scoring in the 81st minute.

Pitt-Bradford fired five total shots and put three on goal. 

Alex Lincoln, Nicholas DiStefano and J.T. Magro each forced the Behrend keeper to make a save.

Ryuta Hayakawa was credited with the most shot attempts with two.

In goal, Sihle Sizani made four saves.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will play host to Franciscan for a 3:15 p.m. kick off.
