STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team fell, 3-0, at Franciscan Saturday afternoon in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match.

"We did really well to not let in any goals during the run of play," Head Coach Nate Whitehurst said. "But we gave them too many set pieces and that gave Franciscan the opportunity to score their three goals."

Pitt-Bradford held the first-place Franciscan to one goal in the first half that came mid-way through the period as the Barons netted one at the 27-minute mark.

The Panthers put together their best scoring chance of the half at the 37-minute mark as Ugwunna Amadi fired a shot that was saved by the Franciscan keeper.

Two minutes into the second half, the AMCC's leading scorer, Leo Herrmann, found the back of the net for Franciscan to double the Barons' lead.

At the 53-minute mark, Herrmann finished on a penalty pick for his second goal of the game, putting the Barons up, 3-0. 

In the second half, the Panthers forced the Franciscan keepers to make three saves as Wyatt May, Steven McFetridge and Nicholas DiStefano all put shots on net in the second half.

But, the Panthers would be unable to score and the 3-0 mark would eventually hold until the final whistle. 

In goal, Derrick Brock made eight saves.

Jean Paul Diaz, T.J. Magro and Ethan Acaster each recorded a shot as well. Amadi led the way with two shots.

Up next, the Panthers will be back home on Tuesday as they welcome Medaille for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
