Juniata Builds First Half Lead, Defeats Panthers

Juniata scored three first half goals in a span of 11 minutes and went on to defeat the Pitt-Bradford men's soccer team 5-0 Wednesday evening.

The game was scoreless for the opening 32 minutes before Juniata scored back-to-back goals in less than 90 seconds. The Eagles added another tally in the closing minute of the half to push the advantage to three, and tacked on two more scores early in the second half to cap the scoring.

Juniata outshot the Panthers 21-6 and held an 11-2 advantage in corner kicks. Colin Frownfelter collected eight saves despite yielding all five goals. Andrew Hoyt had one save in six minutes of action.

Pitt-Bradford drops to 0-2 on the season and will host Nazareth in its home opener Sunday at 1 p.m.
