PSU Behrend Tops Pitt-Bradford, 3-0

BRADFORD, Pa. - The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team (1-8-1, 0-4) fought hard, but ultimately fell, 3-0, to Penn-State Behrend (10-1-1, 4-0) on Wednesday afternoon at the Kessel Athletic Complex.

"I thought we played with a lot of spirit and organization against a very good Penn-State Behrend team," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Darek Panol. "Overall I was pleased with the mental toughness of the team and our spirit."

Josiah Blick mustered two shots while Colin Irwin and Samuel Franchi had one shot each. Colin Frownfelter posted three saves in goal.

The Lions took a 1-0 advantage when Anthony Crivelli finished a cross from Kevin Vock in the 22nd minute. Christian Harrington extended the Penn State Behrend lead to 2-0, beating the keeper from the top corner of the box in the 39th minute. Nick McKee capped the Lions' scoring with a shot from just outside the 18 in the 84th minute.

The Panthers continue AMCC play Saturday afternoon, as they host Mt. Aloysius at the Kessel Athletic Complex at 1:00.
