BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team had an outstanding first half, but ultimately fell 4-1 to Medaille College on a rainy Tuesday afternoon.

The Panthers fell to an early 1-0 deficit after the Mavericks went down the field and scored in the second minute. However, Pitt-Bradford took the momentum back in the 36^th minute when Josiah Blick made an excellent defensive play in the Mavericks' end of the field, and then dribbled in and beat the keeper to the near post to tie the game at 1-1 late in the second half.

"I really thought we did a great job in the first half," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Darek Panol. "We won the majority of the one on ones and did a great job tackling. Unfortunately we just didn't do enough in the second half."

The Mavericks scored in the 56^th, 73^rd and 83^rd minute to earn the 4-1 victory.

Despite dropping the contest to one of the toughest teams in the conference, Panol was encouraged by what his team was able to do in the first half.

"The boys showed we can play with the best teams in the conference today," Panol said. "We just need to keep our focus for 90 minutes in order to get the results we are seeking."

The Panthers return to AMCC play Saturday at 1 p.m. at La Roche.
