BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team fell, 3-0, to Houghton College on Wednesday afternoon at the Kessel Athletic Complex.

The Panthers fought hard, and played well in the first half, but couldn't overcome a strong second half surge from the Highlander's offense.

"Three players earned their first collegiate start today, so I think we were a little nervous," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Darek Panol. "Overall, I was pretty happy with our performance in the first half. Unfortunately our injuries caught up with us and they forced us to reshuffle things in the second half."

Andrew Hoyt collected four saves in his first collegiate start in goal. Noah Black and Tyler Koch also made their first starts of the season for Pitt-Bradford. Josiah Blick and Josh Bailey each had one shot in the loss.

Houghton scored all three of its goals in the second half. Jordan Mullen led the Highlanders with two goals, while Ben Lawrence added a goal and an assist.

The Panthers open AMCC play Saturday at Franciscan at 1 p.m.
