Byers Named Top Offensive Player by AMCC for 2nd Consecutive Week

Bradford, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's lacrosse team member Ben Byers continued the hot start to his freshman campaign over Spring Break and was rewarded by the AMCC who named him the conference Offensive Player of the Week for the 2nd time in as many weeks.

Byers tallied 10 goals over 3 games as the Panthers went 1-2 in the contests. In the comeback victory over Spalding, Byers scored 5 goals on 13 shots on goal. He scored the game-tying goal with just 17 seconds left on the clock to send the game to overtime, and then won it with his 5th of the game in the extra period. He totaled 36 shots, putting 23 of them on target. He had 1 assist and also gathered 10 ground balls.

Byer was also named Player of the Week last Monday after leading the Panthers to the program's first win. He currently leads the AMCC in goals (16), Points (19), shots (57), and shots on goal (37).
