
Bradford, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford lacrosse team had two players recognized by the AMCC on Monday as Ben Byers and Hunter Shank garnered Player of the Week Honors after leading the Panthers to the program's first win.
Byers, a freshman attacker, was named the AMCC's Offensive Player of the Week. In the win over Warren Wilson, Byers scored 5 goals on 11 shots, which gave him a 45.5% shooting percentage. He put 9 of 11 shots on target and also assisted two other goals.
Shank, a senior goalie, was named AMCC Defensive Player of the Week. He was credited with the win in the Panthers' victory over Warren Wilson, making 9 saves while allowing 1 goal in 51 minutes of action.
Through three games, Byers and his teammate Nick Fischer are tied atop the AMCC leaderboard with 6 goals each. Shank leads the conference in saves and is 2nd in save percentage at 61.4%
