Swannanoa, NC -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's lacrosse team earned the first win in program history on Saturday as they defeated Warren Wilson 16-3.
The Panthers took control of the game early, forcing a save after 80 seconds and then went on the man advantage after a Procedure penalty on the Owls. The Panthers did not score with the extra attacker, but did go in front shortly after the penalty ended as Nick Fisher moved into the offensive end, faked a pass and fired a low shot past the goalie. The Panthers doubled their lead 3 minutes later when Billy Tigar found Ben Byers on the left wing. Byers caught the pass and fired a shot into the far side of the goal to put the Panthers ahead 2-0.

Pitt-Bradford picked up right where they left off to start the 2nd half, when Byers tallied his 3rd goal of the game after less than a minute of play. They could not maintain that form for the remainder of the period as they missed the net with 10 shots while seeing two more stopped.
