Panthers Cut 12 Strokes, finish in 14th

State College, PA. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team wrapped up the Pennsylvania Spring Classic on Sunday, shaving 12 strokes off their first-round score to move up a spot and finish 14th.

Pitt-Bradford shot a 321 on day two, moving them past La Roche who was ahead of them after round one. 

Ben Tubbs had another strong day, leading the Panthers with a score of 78. He finished the event at 155, putting him in 37th. All four other Panthers improved their scores in the second round. Brody Kamuda cut 4 strokes off his first round to break 80 with a score of 79. He finished at 162 in 58th place. Max Bizzak, Michael Peterson, and Brady Susi all posted scores of 82 to finish the tournament. Bizzak was in 69th place with a tournament score of 167, while Peterson and Susi were tied in 75th at 170. Playing as an individual, Andrew Heinze had the best score improvement between the two rounds, cutting 8 strokes in round two to shoot an 88. he was 87th with a final score of 184.

They will play one more event this spring, as they will compete in the Thiel Invitational on Saturday, April 5th. The event will be held at Avalon at Buhl in Sharon, Pa.
