Panther Golf Team Back in Spring Action, in 15th After 1 Round at PA Spring Classic

State College, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Golf team returned to action to begin the spring portion of their schedule on Saturday, competing in the Pennsylvania Spring Classic at Penn State's Blue Course. After one round, the Panthers sit in 15th place with a score of 333.

Ben Tubbs led the Panthers on the day, shooting a 5-over 77 to finish the round in 31st place. He made 13 pars and 5 bogies on the day. Brody Kamuda had the second-best score for Pitt-Bradford, firing an 83. He is in 63rd. Max Bizzak finished two strokes behind him at 85 and is in 70th. Michael Peterson and Brady Susi both finished at 88 and are tied for 79th. Andrew Heinze played as an individual and shot a 96.

The Panthers head into round two with a good possibility to move up in the standings. They enter Sunday 3 strokes behind La Roche, 6 behind Penn State-Harrisburg, and 13 behind Thiel. Round Two will begin with a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m.
