Willoughby, Oh -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team was back on the links at Manakiki Country Club on Sunday for the second round of the Region V Preview tournament. The Panthers had a strong day, cutting 14 strokes off their opening-round score to move up two spots and finish in 16th place with a team score of 640.
The Panthers posted a score of 313 which was the 13th best score of 22 competing teams. All five Panthers finished at or under 80.
Michael Peterson was the big mover of the day for the Panthers. He posted a 1-over 37 on the final 9 holes to finish the round with a 78, a 12-stroke improvement. Brady Susi also improved his score by double digits, posting a 78, 10 strokes off his round-one score. Brody Kamuda was the third Panther to finish at 78. He dropped 6 strokes in round two. Ben Tubbs rounded out the scoring for the Panthers, finishing one stroke behind his teammates at 79. Max Bizzak just missed out on scoring, firing an 80.
