Panthers in 18th after Round 1 at Region V Preview

Willoughby, Oh. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team has traveled to Willoughby, Ohio to play in the two-day Region V Preview tournament at Manakiki Country Club. After 18 holes, the Panthers are in 18th place after posting a score of 327.

The Panthers were led by Ben Tubbs, who fired a 77 on the round, putting him in a tie for 26th place. After a 41 on the front nine, Tubbs made 3 birdies on the way to shooting an even-par 36 on the back. Just one stroke behind Tubbs was MAx Bizzak who had a consistent afternoon, posting 12 pars and 6 bogeys to shoot a 78. Brody Kamuda finished at 84 for the first round, while Brady Susi rounded out the scoring at 88. Michael Peterson had the 5th score for the Panthers at 90.

The Panthers will look to move up the leaderboard on Sunday as they will try to take advantage of morning conditions to post a low number. Their tee times will begin at 8:45 a.m.
