Panthers improve by 15 Strokes, Finish 14th at Mountain Valley Classic

Cresson, PA. --The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team was back on the course on Saturday, playing the second round of the Mountain Valley Classic at Summit Country Club in Cresson. The Panthers improved their scores vastly, posting a team score of 320, giving them a two-day total of 655 to finish in 14th place.

Ben Tubbs had the best score of the day for the Panthers, as he fired a 5-over 77. He was lights out on the front nine, posting five pars and three birdies. Brody Kamuda finished with an 80 and also had a strong first half of his round, finishing the front nine at even par. Max Bizzak had the third score for the Panthers at 81, while Michael Peterson shot an 82 to close the scoring. Brady Susi shot an 85, while Andrew Heinze played as an individual and finished at 84.

The Panthers will be back in action on Monday, September 16th when they head to the home of Arnold Palmer, Latrobe, Pa. for the St. Vincent Invitational. They will play at Latrobe Country Club with tee times beginning at 11:00 a.m.
